march madness is almost over

how many did we have today?  good numbers?

i am planning on coming back on wednesday, same bat time.  hopefully, hamstring will be okay.  speaking of injuries, anyone know how uncle dave is doing?

and speaking of march madness, tennessee squares off against louisville this thursday night near 10p.  10p?!  it should be an awesome game.  so my next question, i'm sure we'll all probably be watching it.  do we want to plan to meet on friday morning?  will we have enough awake to play?  think about it and sound off.

good friday is a good day to resume some hoop playing.  bring your hoop-playin' self over to the gym in the morning and recapture all the hoop action you missed on wish-we-played-hoops wednesday.

UPDATE: no hoops tomorrow (wed)

late afternoon message was sent to me letting me know the gym is occupied by inflatables and won't be cleared until sometime tomorrow. we won't be able to play. our contact on the inside got this message late and passed it on as soon as she got it.

we'll have to hold the spring break madness in until friday!

spring break madness

will we have a good collection of uninjured players tomorrow?  hope so.  i'm planning on being there, although i don't know if i'll be back to full power.  worst case scenario is that i get to be waterboy.

we played some good five-on-five this morning.  two long games and one short.  i'm telling you, missing just one day really screws up my body's effectiveness the rest of the week.

marty saves the day

on wednesday, similar glitches as experienced monday denied us again. but thanks to dennis (d-assassin) for sending over marty's phone number, a call to marty-man produced a visit from the man who performed technomagic on cards belonging to jeff an me.

thanks to marty for the early morning fix. hoops were back in action wednesday morn and the madness continues tomorrow.

free beatings

i don't know how tired everyone was on wednesday, but greg and i were talking about the strenuous work out two games of man-to-man defense provided.  even though we were both happy for that workout, we agreed it was nice to switch to zone the last game for a rest.

mvp was uncle dave, who was playin' the game like pirate dave:  inside and outside shots dropping like they were hot, pwning the boards, and driving like a professional on a closed course.  it would seem the tables have turned on all who might have inflicted him pain before.

if you would like to get smacked around by uncle dave, come early tomorrow for the beating!

thanks to all who helped set up on monday.  that went very quickly.  and special points to greg who helped stack all those chairs beforehand.

our monthly monday set up is out of the way for march.  this means free hoops on the range for another thirty days.  come on wednesday and play on an open, cleanly swept court.

tomorrow is the monday hoops as normal but in addition is the senior luncheon.  we'll need to set up after our game time.  come early.
