feb final

i was going to say it was the feb final four-on-four, but i was afraid
of how that might influence attendance tomorrow morning. and with our
crowd, it could be influenced either way. so, i'll just leave the
subject as feb final since it's the last hoops day in february 2009.

two months down. ten more to go!

dennis vs. neal

we had a good eight on monday, quite the contrast to the fourteen the
previous two hoops mornings. among those eight was neither dennis nor
neal, the two early birds.

since both should be back by tomorrow, i renew the question from
before: who will be first to arrive? who will come the earliest?
it's been close some mornings.

it's on!

high numbers

we've all been surprised/impressed at the many who have shown up in
the past week. i wish i could track this stuff, but i feel there
would be no scientific conclusion to use a prediction. i'm also
fairly certain it was not my email that prompted these numbers. but
it's good to have lots rather than and unbalanced seven.

of course, the question i really face tomorrow morning is: "will neal
beat dennis or will dennis get to the gym first?"

keep your plans

we had a full crew complement on wednesday, double that of last week.
i know that friday will be something totally different than what i'd
expect. with sickness and cold weather and injuries and apples, we
may or may not have as many as fourteen show up. don't get confused
by all this though. keep your plans. if you were going to come and
play, be there. we will spread the fun around.

and we'll if dennis gets there before neal or if neal's alarm clock
works this time.

low numbers wednesday

if tomorrow is like all the other wednesdays, there should be the
typical seven who show. those seven men look and long for, yea, even
pray for an eighth man to bring balance to the court.

back to hoops

it's the middle of february already. another monday. another start of a week.

and another day for hoops.

friday the 13th

if you thought the day was scary enough, bring your black cat and play
some roundball. make sure walk under the ladder as you open your
unbrella just inside the gym welcome center. some unlucky team will
come out being total losers.

it seems that trent is more back to normal than he leads on. his
doctor will be pleased...or annoyed. we'll see.

and we're still missing the missing nigerian. (justin, where are you?)

oh, neal, remember to ask me how my dog situation played out. i think
you'll find it interesting.

replacements

we'll need a few replacement men as some are not going to be there
tomorrow. bring a friend or call a veteran. we just need ten.
