last day this week

as stated in my previous email/post, this is a shorter week.  tomorrow is our last day to play.  and if we play like we did on monday, i'm sure i'll have achieved my exercise goals sufficiently.  seriously, i don't know how you old guy do it!  maybe you'll share your secrets with the rest of the group.  i'm hoping for ten more years of good play out of this body.

i knew i shouldn't have said anything about monday.

next friday is out. then there are a few days in november and almost half of december fitting into the no-play zone.

i need to get a vote on who will be there tomorrow. i know the men's retreat will pull a few regulars. so, tell me before 9:00p tonight if you plan on being there (or not). based on the count at 9:00p tonight, i'll let you know via email/website whether we'll bother getting up tomorrow morning or not.

great numbers!

i know that by even just mentioning that in the headlines that we'll probably end up wtih five tomorrow morning.  nevertheless, it was a great monday.  i felt very worked out.  five games!  that was pretty amazing.

all this space

you know, we've got this big court and high ceiling with a couple of full-size basketball goals all to ourselves tomorrow morning.  there are even lines painted on the floor in just the right spots.  seems a shame to waste the opportunity of playing some actual basketball games in it.  we only need ten guys.  whaddayasay?

feeling our ages

it seems to me that in the past few weeks of play the teams have been equally matched.  we've played some longer games recently.  and then i go to work and my body just wants to recover.  i know i'm getting older, but i am alone in this?  anyone else feeling the lengthy recovery times?
