open monday

it sounds to me like there is enough interest to play tomorrow, so the gym will be open for hoops on monday.

i know you might be thinking this is a christmas miracle, but i think the miracle will come when we have 10 guys standing around the circle ready to play.

i will always hope...and see you tomorrow morning.

above & beyond

attendance on wednesday was outstanding! i did not expect that.

we had visits from a couple of the originals, mike t and sonny e. then out of the blue, casey shows up, right back to his old shenanigans. almost of original crew seemed to make it and all of the new. the only one missing was, well, the missing nigerian...who is still missing.

that kinda of thing can happen often, as far as i'm concerned, even starting tomorrow. it will seem to me like christmas morning as i wait with anticipation to see who all shows up.

and regarding next week, i see four definites on monday (cary, bryan, issac, me) and six definites on friday (jeff, danny, bryce, cary, bryan, me). i'll get hand counts tomorrow for a final tally. if you are not on either list and should be, let me know via email or make sure i know tomorrow morning.

six more shopping days

when you wake up tomorrow morning, it will be only one week away before christmas. can you believe it? hope your shopping is done. you only have six more days...unless you are really one of "those guys" and are counting seven more shopping days. real men plan ahead. it's not too late.

it's also not too late to set your alarms for tomorrow morning. since we don't play a week from wednesday (since a few of you might be out at that time doing some shopping), get twice as much game in tomorrow morning and giving 107%. what? it's prime.

getting head counts

so, next wednesday is christmas day. i don't plan on being there, and i doubt most of you will too.

monday and friday seem like normal days; but with the traveling that goes on during this time of year, i feel it necessary to to get a head count/commits for those two days.

give the nature of things, we'd need a solid commit of eight both days to play. i don't believe anything less than that will ultimately result in enough for decent games.

use the email list to voice your commit or do it in person one day this week at the circle. we'll put together a tally. but remember: it's a hard commit. that means only death in the family will excuse you. forgetting and oversleeping is not allowed. and changing your mind doesn't even count. (we're men, not women.)

the week before christmas

i hope your shopping is almost done; but if you are looking for what to get the guys at hoops, then your attendance is all they want.

tomorrow, we hit the courts again with more action packed hoops. although hopefully not as action packed as trent experienced on wednesday.

hoops tomorrow, christmas tonight

tomorrow is hoops as normal, but tonight is west park's second (and final) night of our celebration of christmas.

consider yourself invited to come enjoy the music and celebrate with us.  it starts at 6:00p. jeff has a solo, a few of us are singing in the choir, and there are several very fun songs, one which includes the hardin valley academy drum line.

bring your fams and have a warm, dry seat while we sing for you.

we didn't put too many marks on the newly refinished floor. it still retains some shine. you can still yet see it tomorrow morning when you come play some basketball.
