resume hoops tomorrow

we will resume normally scheduled hoops tomorrow morning. i hope you enjoyed the snow day, sleeping in, then getting up to make a snow fort and battle neighborhood kids in epic snow battles that were reminiscent of when the rebels defended their echo base on hoth.

to play or not play

well, i think i had better check to see if anyone will be making any attempt in the morning to play some hoops. in my experience, i've usually been the only one to show when there is about this much snow. (sometimes less.)

i'm thinking it's gonna be a snow day for hoops too. what is your take?

if you were there on friday, come back tomorrow. if you weren't there on friday, you can come too! let's face it: tomorrow is a good come back day.

cold weather doesn't count

schools might close because of extremely cold weather, but we will always play despite the temperature.

weather shouldn't keep anyone at bay...unless you're michael bay. then a losing your place on a teleprompter will keep you at bay.

and i believe it's safe to say that monday play is a go. nothing different there.

looks like just water out there this morning. shouldn't be s problem, but drive safely anyway.

winter wonderland?

i don't know what will end up being the weather in the morning, but plans are normal for now.

our rule, however, is that if schools are called off, we will not play. it might be too early for the decision to be made on school, so pay attention to the email list and/or blog.

we had this many (see pic) show up yesterday. we we able to get our standard three games in plus squeezed in a straight-11 at the end.

if you can get your car started tomorrow morning, it's business as usual. if you have spent any time in new york or michigan, you have no excuse for not showing up.

i will be there in the morning. several have said the roads are no problem. so, there will be art least four of us.

snow and hoops

normally, i would tell you to watch the news for school closing to determine if we will play, but school doesn't start until tuesday. and that is our guide going forward while school is in effect.

i believe that poor weather will disqualify hoops tomorrow morning. i can be there even if earth's crust were separating since i live so close. but i think that if there is significant snow on the ground, it would be prudent to call it off.
